Jay Adams, Bill Backstrom, and Andre Burvant, partners on the state and local tax team in the New Orleans office, spoke at the Tax Executives Institute (TEI) Houston Chapter 2026 Tax School Week 2 on May 6, 2026. During the "State & Local Update" course, Jay, Bill, and Andre focused on topics of interest to Houston-based tax practitioners. They spoke on recent Louisiana state tax developments, including recent and developing state tax legislation and cases, property tax developments, and state tax refund ideas.
