William M. Backstrom, Jr. and Matthew A. Mantle, partners on the State and Local Tax Team in the New Orleans office, were recently quoted in the Tax Notes article “Louisiana DOR Issues Use Tax Reporting Guidance for Remote Sellers.” In the article, Mr. Backstrom and Mr. Mantle discuss the implications of a January 5, 2018 policy bulletin advising remote retailers to report taxable transactions to the Louisiana Department of Revenue.
