French Brown, a partner on the state and local tax team in the Tallahassee office, wrote an article for the Summer 2025 issue of The Florida Bar Tax Section Bulletin. In the article "2025 Florida Session Update: Historic Tax Relief and Elimination of the Florida-Only Business Rent Tax," French discusses the outcomes of the 2025 Florida Legislative Session including extending the time to complete the budget, eliminating the Business Rent Tax, repealing the Aviation Fuel Tax, codifying sales tax relief for consumers, and creating the potential for future property tax relief.
