Robert L. Carothers, Jr., a partner in the Banking & Financial Services Practice Group in the Mobile office, presented at the Alabama Bankers Association's Bank Counsel Conference on August 1, 2018. The presentation, “S. 2155: What Alabama Bankers Need to Know,” focused on Senate Bill 2155, which was signed into law earlier this year and is slated to provide meaningful relief from some of the most harmful provisions of the Dodd-Frank Act. Mr. Carothers offered a summary of the legislation’s key provisions and discussed how things might be different under the new regulatory landscape.
