David Edwards, an attorney with the firm for more than 40 years and a partner in the Tax Practice Group, received a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Emeritus Club of Tulane University this year.
The Emeritus Club honored two outstanding graduates of Tulane University’s class of 1970 as Lifetime Achievement Award winners. Throughout his years as an alumnus, David has served on the President’s Council, the School of Medicine Board of Governors, the Bea Field Alumni House Committee, the Committee of 170th Donors, and the Green Wave Club.
He continues to serve as a member of the Board of Tulane, the National Campaign Council for Louisiana, and the Public Health Dean’s Council, and as a chair of his class’s 50th reunion this year. Along with his service to the university, the Emeritus Club recognized David’s personal achievements and philanthropy, including serving as the state chair of the American College of Trust & Estate Counsel and as a trustee of the Collins C. Diboll Foundation.
The Emeritus Club of Tulane University, managed by the Office of Alumni Relations, automatically inducts the university’s 50-year class into the Emeritus Club as members each year. The club aims to keep members of this class and earlier classes in touch with each other and the university and recognize exceptional members of the emeritus class with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
