"Ethics of Agentic AI: Competence, Supervision, and Liability," National Business Institute

By Jason M. Loring, Michelle Ramsden

Virtual Event

May 14, 2026

Jason Loring and Michelle Ramsden, partner and special counsel, respectively, on the firm's privacy, data strategy, and artificial intelligence team in the Atlanta office, presented a 60-minute webinar, "Ethics of Agentic AI: Competence, Supervision, and Liability," for the National Business Institute (NBI) on May 14, 2026. In their presentation, Jason and Michelle covered how the American Bar Association's Model Rules of Professionalism apply when AI acts autonomously on a lawyer's behalf and how attorneys have already been disciplined for AI-generated filings and confidentiality breaches. They also introduced a practical supervisory framework to address client confidentiality and disclosure across multi-step AI workflows.
