Micah Fincher, an associate in the New Orleans office, co-authored an article “One Year Later: Louisiana’s Database Security Breach Notification Law 2.0” published in the Louisiana State Bar Journal. On August 1, 2018, several amendments to the 2005 Louisiana data breach notification law went into effect. The article examines closely the data breach notification law as amended and discusses the enforcement of the amended law in the public and private sectors.
