Jones Walker client Levelset, formerly known as zLien, announced the closing of an additional $30 million Series C financing round led by Horizons Ventures with participation from S3 Ventures, Altos Ventures, Michael Gollner of Operating Venture Capital, and Darren Bechtel of Brick & Mortar Ventures. Ted Jones, a partner in the Corporate Practice Group in the Baton Rouge office, served as lead counsel for Levelset in this transaction. Levelset’s platform assists those in the construction industry to make payment paperwork and compliance easier, get cash faster, monitor the risk on jobs and contractors, and better understand payment processes and rules. The company is headquartered in New Orleans, with offices in Austin, Texas, and Cairo, Egypt, and has more than 200 employees.
