We at Jones Walker are deeply troubled by the recent events highlighting the disturbing realities of racial and social injustice in our country. The needless deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and countless others are beyond tragic.

It is a priority for our law firm to make sure that every employee – no matter their race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or social, or economic background – participates as an equal member of our team. We take this responsibility as a firm very seriously and encourage open and ongoing dialogue in our firm at all levels and across the communities we serve to address these deep-rooted issues. We continue to stand with our communities through supporting and working alongside the many organizations that promote racial equality and social justice and to offer legal services to those in need.

As we reflect on these tragic events and our current world, Jones Walker is committed to listening, learning, and creating positive change. We know that we are stronger when we are united and when we listen to one another. Our strength and dedication at Jones Walker and in our country have been demonstrated time and time again following other tragic events in the communities where we work and live. We are confident that we will endure during this sad and uncertain time in our world if we focus on respect, tolerance, empathy, and understanding.
