Firm Statement – June 2025

Firm News

June 19, 2025

Juneteenth marks the pivotal conclusion of the Civil War and subsequent end of slavery in the United States on June 19, 1865. As we recognize this federal holiday, we encourage our Jones Walker family and wider community to dedicate time for reflection and education. In recognition of this historic event, our firm is contributing donations to support several organizations within our geographic footprint, including:

  • New Orleans African American Museum
  • Mississippi Center for Justice
  • Birmingham Civil Rights Institute
  • Houston Museum of African American Culture
  • National Center for Civil and Human Rights - Atlanta
  • Marshall L. Davis Sr. African Heritage Cultural Arts Center - Miami

Jones Walker is committed to creating positive change. Our strength lies in unity and respecting distinct voices with tolerance, empathy, and understanding.

Juneteenth is an important part of our nation's history. We encourage everyone at Jones Walker and beyond to honor it through education and reflection.
