On June 14, 2011, partner Madeleine Fischer presented on “The Use of Experts in Insurance Bad Faith Litigation,” at the New Orleans Bar Association Meeting. Originally presented last year at the 18th Annual Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee Midyear Program, Ms. Fischer led local attorneys through several issues relating to the topic, including what qualifies an expert to testify on bad faith issues, treading the line between fact and law with expert witnesses, and when the use of expert witnesses is appropriate.
