On May 11, litigation and product liability attorney, Madeleine Fischer, was quoted in Chemical Week in the article, "FIFRA Ruling Sets 'Unfortunate' Precedent," regarding the impact on pesticide manufacturers of a recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling interpreting the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act. Ms. Fischer explained that the ruling sharply curtails the federal preemption defense that pesticide manufacturers have used successfully in the past to cut short expensive products litigation.
