The Mississippi Revenue Commissioner, Herb Frierson, testified November 1, 2016, before the Legislature's Tax Policy Panel, a bicameral committee of lawmakers considering options for tax reform, and avoided taking a policy position on the options he presented to the panel but instead wanted to highlight various options. Mr. Fletcher, who attended the hearing, said Frierson suggested that, among other items, lawmakers consider economic nexus, but only for income tax purposes.
