Michael Foley, an associate in the Labor & Employment Practice Group in the New Orleans office, was quoted in the HRLaws.com article “5th Circuit Says Corporate Entity Can be Victim of Race Bias” about the recent US Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ruling to allow a race discrimination case to proceed under Title VII. In the case, a worker and the staffing agency sued a hospital when she was sent home in the middle of her shift because she was not Hispanic. Michael says the ruling clarifies that corporate entities may have standing to sue for race bias.
