Asher J. Friend, a partner in the firm’s Corporate & Securities Practice Group and co-chair of the BioTechnology and Life Sciences and Private Equity teams, recently spoke at the Association for Corporate Growth – Louisiana Chapter's monthly meeting.  As part of the meeting’s “Recent Developments” presentation, Mr. Friend detailed the newly passed “Jumpstart Our Business Startups (JOBS) Act,” touching on the impact it will have on new entities and the effects the Act will have on the securities industry as a whole.

Looking forward, Mr. Friend is working with the New Orleans BioInnovation Center and the Idea Village on possibly constructing a seminar to offer a more detailed discussion of the JOBS Act and its relevance.
