Asher J. Friend, a partner in the firm's Corporate & Securities Practice Group in the New Orleans office, was honored with the Barney Mintz New Leadership Award at the Anti-Defamation League's ("ADL") Centennial Dinner, held on December 5, 2013. The Barney Mintz New Leadership Award, which is given to two up-and-coming leaders of the ADL each year, is funded by the family of Barney Mintz, one of the original board chairs of the local and national chapters of the ADL. Mr. Friend, together with the other award recipient, will travel to Washington D.C. in April to attend the Shana Amy Glass National Leadership Conference. While in Washington, they will join other ADL participants and have the opportunity to meet Congressional officials to discuss domestic and foreign issues concerning the Jewish community.
