Energy, environmental, and litigation attorneys Cove Geary, Boyd Bryan, and Eric Whitaker co-authored the article titled, “The Obligation to Restore Oil and Gas Properties: The View from Louisiana and Other States,” that was published in the October 2005, Volume 3, Number 1 issue of the American Bar Association, Environment, Energy, and Resources Section's Energy Committees Newsletter.  The article discusses the mineral lessee's obligation to restore oilfield sites under Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Mississippi law, who may assert the restoration claims and when they may be asserted, and the applicable cleanup standard.
