Cove Geary, co-chair of the Insurance, Banking & Financial Services Practice, has been named Chair-Elect of the American Bar Association's TIPS Section Life Insurance Law Committee. Geary previously chaired a panel discussion on complex insurance coverage and class action litigation, and more recently served as the editor of the committee's newsletter. The Life Insurance Law Committee brings together professionals including in-house counsel, counsel representing insurers, counsel representing insureds, and regulatory counsel. The focus of the Life Insurance Law Committee is on the existing and changing relationships among insureds, annuitants, contract owners, beneficiaries, agents, brokers, and life insurance companies. The committee examines the contracts and laws affecting those relationships as well as the external developments which impact them and employment retirement plans.
