On October 11, co-chair of the Insurance, Banking & Financial Services Practice, will moderate a panel titled "Insurance for the Energy Industry in the Wake of Katrina and Rita" presented by the New Orleans Chapter of the Energy Bar Association and hosted by Jones Walker. Among the topics will be the way that Hurricanes Katrina and Rita have affected the handling of hurricane claims by the insurance industry, its willingness to issue coverage, and litigation alleging that decades of oil and gas production have diminished the coastline's natural resistance to hurricanes.
