Mac Greaves, a partner in the Labor & Employment Practice Group in the Birmingham office, served as co-chair and moderator for the Samford University Cumberland School of Law Employment Law Update 2021 conference on Friday, December 17, 2021. Topics covered during the conference included vaccine mandates and their intersect with religious accommodations and FMLA leave; OSHA temporary rules, vaccinations, and testing; fraudulent unemployment claims; EEOC, teleworking, and working accommodations; diversity; and other hot topics such as medical marijuana, nondisclosure agreements, Amazon unionization and the Pro Act, independent contractors, and the gig economy.
