On September 23, public finance attorney, Regina Hamilton , was named 2004 YWCA of Greater Baton Woman of Achievement in the category of Corporate Under 500. Hamilton, who was recently appointed as the Louisiana Ombudsman for the U.S. Small Business Association and received a 2004 Women in Business Award from Baton Rouge Business Report, is extremely active in the community and has worked with many civic associations, including the Academic Distinction Fund and the Baton Rouge Arts Council. Women of Achievement is the premier event honoring women in the Greater Baton Rouge Area. The mission of the YWCA of Greater Baton Rouge is to work towards generational, cultural, and economic equality and the empowerment of women and families.
