Senior litigation partner Harry S. Hardin was the chair of the Louisiana Bar Association's Ethics 2000 Committee which drafted substantive changes to the Louisiana Rules of Professional Conduct which became effective by order of the Louisiana Supreme Court on March 1, 2004. The LSBA E2K Committee studied the work of the American Bar Association and, working with the Louisiana Supreme Court, modified particular rules to address special Louisiana issues. Hardin led the process through over twenty committee meetings, nine public hearings, three presentations to the Louisiana Bar Association House of Delegates, and a presentation to the Louisiana Supreme Court. The process has helped bring Louisiana lawyers to the forefront of ethics reform.
