On May 12, Jones Walker sponsored the Tulane University Family Business Center's 4th Annual Family Business Wealth Planning Seminar that was held at the Ritz-Carlton New Orleans from 1:00 p.m. until 5:15 p.m. Tax & Estates partner Miriam Henry presented the topic, "Tax Strategies to Maximize Your Wealth Transfer Plan."  Jones Walker is a corporate sponsor of the Tulane University Family Business Center.

Founded in 1992, the Tulane University Family Business Center is sponsored by the Levy-Rosenblum Institute for Entrepreneurship. Membership is open to those involved in family business enterprise in which the majority ownership of the company is controlled by the family. During the year, there are five Family Business Forums, three full-day Family Business Forum Seminars, an Annual Family Business Gala, and the Annual Family Business Wealth Planning Seminar.
