Jones Walker managing partner Bill Hines was quoted in the January 26 online edition of New Orleans CityBusiness in the article, "Harvard Helps New Orleans Develop Economic Strategy." Hines, who is co-chair with Entergy New Orleans CEO Dan Packer of the economic development committee of Mayor Nagin's Bring New Orleans Back Commission, was quoted saying, "We will detail ways to rebuild the New Orleans economy sector by sector like tourism, maritime, oil and gas, and so forth." Harvard Business School MBA students, alumni and individual faculty advisors, along with individual researchers and experts from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, volunteered their time and expertise over a two-week break in January to assist the economic development committee with research and policy recommendations. Jones Walker hosted 15 of the students and faculty providing them with office space, support and library resources at its 201 St. Charles Avenue location. The 84-page report will be released January 27 by the BNOB and presented to Mayor Nagin.
