Asher Friend, a partner in the Jones Walker Corporate Practice Group, moderated the panel "Home Grown Startup Success" as part of New Orleans Entrepreneurship Week (NOEW) on March 24, 2022. Panelists provided a unique point of view on their early investments in New Orleans tech startups realizing historic success in 2021, offered advice to future entrepreneurs about the qualities they look for in companies and founders, and discussed those variables that make New Orleans a place to grow companies with the potential to realize similar success of those last year. This year's NOEW celebrated local companies with early roots and support from NOEW, including Levelset and the company's successful $500 million sale to Procore Technologies, Inc., (NYSE: PCOR) in 2021.
