William W. Horton, a partner in the Birmingham office and Co-Leader of the firm’s Healthcare Industry Team, was quoted in the Birmingham Business Journal article “Bill Introduced by Sen. Doug Jones Designed to Improve Rural Health Care.” In the article, Mr. Horton weighs in on new legislation introduced in Congress by Senator Doug Jones (D-Ala.) called the Rural Health Liaison Act. Mr. Horton said, “Anything that focuses attention and resources on the challenges of rural health care in Alabama is a good thing. I think that a major and growing problem in the U.S. health care system is the drying up of resources for rural health care."
