Grady Hurley, a partner and co-leader of the maritime litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution team, attended the 2023 Comité Maritime International Colloquium in Montreal, Canada, on June 14–June 16, where he was elected as a Titular Member from the United States. The Colloquium featured meetings addressing autonomous vessels, the impact of climate change, offshore wind, the conventions on collisions, judicial sales, and the Rotterdam rules. The Comité Maritime International is a non-governmental not-for-profit international organization established in Antwerp, Belgium in 1897, the object of which is to contribute by all appropriate means and activities to the unification of maritime law in all its aspects.
