It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our colleague, John C. Combe, Jr.
John began his legal career in the New Orleans office in 1965 and was named partner in 1970. His practice was focused on the areas of litigation, professional liability law, and products liability law. John retired from the firm in 2000.
John was a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association (LSBA) Board of Governors for many years before serving as its president from 1979-1980. He had previously served as chairman of the LSBA Young Lawyers Section from 1973-1974 and was named Outstanding Young Lawyer for the year 1978. John was also a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and served as president of the New Orleans Association of Defense Counsel from 1975-76.
After receiving his BBA from Tulane University in 1960, John served two years in the United States Navy Supply Corps. He went on to earn his JD from Tulane School of Law in 1965.
The attorneys and staff of Jones Walker extend their deepest condolences to John’s family, friends, and loved ones.
