Rae Vasquez, a partner and member of the tax credit finance team in the Baton Rouge office, participated in the American Bar Association Forum on Affordable Housing & Community Development Law 2026 Annual Meeting on May 21, 2026, in Washington, DC. Rae moderated the "Intercreditor Agreements and the Coordination of Draw Requests" panel, which focused on how lenders work together in low-income housing tax credit transactions with multiple sources of financing and on the basics of how an Intercreditor Agreement defines each lender's respective rights, lien priorities, repayment order, standstill mechanics, and affordability preservation. The panel also walked through the construction draw lifecycle, highlighting the milestone-based process of releasing construction loan funds to reduce completion and lien risk.
