The Jacintoport Industrial Park land sale, for which Jones Walker served as counsel, was nominated for a 2008 Landmark Award in Project Sale by the Houston Business Journal. The 2008 Houston Business Journal's Landmark Awards were announced on Thursday, April 3, 2008, in front of more than 450 of the key executives in the commercial real estate community. The Landmark Awards recognize commercial real estate projects and developments that make significant impressions on the Houston landscape.

The deal passed the final 1,226-acre section of Jacintoport—of which approximately 423 acres fronts deep water on the Houston Ship Channel—to Pinto Realty Partners, a Cockrell Interests, Inc. affiliate, and New York-based ING Clarion.
