Tax & Estates partner Janice Martin Foster has been named to New Orleans Magazine's list of "New Orleans Top Lawyers 2009." The article profiling Ms. Foster discussed her background at Jones Walker, having started her legal career at the firm in 1970 following graduation from Tulane University Law School. Ms. Foster's practice in the area of trusts and estates is also profiled, and she explains her interest in that area of law.

This year's list of Top Lawyers in the New Orleans area was created using data from LexisNexis' database of Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rated attorneys to identify those rated by their peers as both highly ethical and preeminent in their legal abilities. The list reflects attorneys who have received an AV rating, the highest Peer Review Rating available.

Ms. Foster's previous honors including being named to New Orleans CityBusiness' 2007 class of Leadership in Law honorees, being recognized as a Young Leadership Council Role Model in 2007, and being honored with the New Orleans Chapter of the Association of Women Attorneys' Michaelle Pitard Wynne Professionalism Award in 1996.
