Johnson Authors ABI Journal Article on Problems in the Bankruptcy Code

Kristina Johnson, a partner and member of the firm’s bankruptcy & restructuring team in the Jackson office, authored the article “Form over Substance Leaves a Precarious Remedy for Violations Against Corporate Estates,” published in the American Bankruptcy Institute’s April issue of ABI Journal. Kristina discussed Section 362(k) of the Bankruptcy Code and explained the current disparity in the way the remedy for violations of the automatic stay is applied in individual and corporate cases in bankruptcy.
