Jones Walker Corporate Practice Group partners Mike Waters and Rob Carothers advised Citizens State Bank of Vernon, Alabama in its agreement to be purchased by Avadian Credit Union, based in Birmingham, Alabama. The acquisition was announced on December 20, 2021, and is scheduled to close by the third quarter of 2022. This acquisition allows Avadian Credit Union to expand to western Alabama.
