NEW ORLEANS—Jones Walker is pleased to announce that partner Robert B. Worley, Jr. has been elected to the firm's Board of Directors for a four-year term. Additionally, partner Elizabeth "Lisa" J. Futrell has been re-elected to the firm's Board of Directors for an additional four-year term. Both Mr. Worley and Ms. Futrell began their terms January 1, 2009. The firm also recently announced the election of five attorneys to partnership: Kevin O. Ainsworth (Business & Commercial Litigation/Real Estate, Baton Rouge); Monique A. Cenac (Corporate & Securities, Phoenix); Trey W. Cloud (Real Estate, Baton Rouge); Kelly C. Simoneaux (Corporate & Securities, New Orleans); and Raedtha A. Vasquez (Real Estate, Baton Rouge).

The firm's Managing Partner, William H. Hines, made the announcement today. Mr. Hines also thanked outgoing Board of Directors member H. Hughes Grehan for his service, stating "I would also like to thank Hughes for his incredibly valuable service on our Board, and we very much appreciate his taking on the leadership of our new Phoenix office."

Mr. Worley is a partner in the Labor & Employment Practice Group and works from the firm's New Orleans office. Mr. Worley practices employment law exclusively on behalf of management and has defended hundreds of employment lawsuits in more than 30 states.

Ms. Futrell has practiced law for more than 20 years. Since 1999, she has been a fellow in the American College of Bankruptcy, and she served as past Chair of the Louisiana State Bar Association's Advisory Commission for Bankruptcy Specialization. Ms. Futrell is also the chair of the firm’s Committee on Practice Standards.
