Jones Walker advised Anniston, Alabama-based Southern States Bancshares Inc., the bank holding company for Southern States Bank, in the offering of $48 million in aggregate principal amount of 3.50% fixed-to-floating rate subordinated notes due 2032. Southern States plans to use the proceeds from the notes to support the company's growth and for repayment of borrowings under its line of credit. Jones Walker partners Mike Waters, Clint Smith, and Rob Carothers and associate Carley Tatman led the firm's representation of Southern States Bancshares in the transaction.
