Several Jones Walker lawyers participated in the planning and execution of the Seventh Annual Conclave on Diversity in the Legal Profession, sponsored by the Louisiana State Bar Association ("LSBA") in conjunction with the Louisiana Supreme Court, Minority Corporate Counsel Association, Association of Corporate Counsel Louisiana Chapter, and a number of local and specialty bar associations. The Conclave was held on March 21, 2014, at the New Orleans Hilton Riverside. Luis A. Leitzelar, a partner in the firm's Business & Commercial Litigation Practice Group in the Baton Rouge office, who currently serves as Co-Chair of the LSBA Committee on Diversity, was co-chair of the Conclave Subcommittee. Kimberly L. Robinson, a partner in the firm's Tax and Estates Practice Group in the Baton Rouge office, attended an invitation-only statewide Managing and Hiring Partners Breakfast with in-house counsel of several major companies, including Entergy, Capital One, Wal-Mart, and Caesars Entertainment. Elizabeth J. "Lisa" Futrell and Mark A. Cunningham, both partners in the Business & Commercial Litigation Practice Group in the New Orleans office, served as panelists for the Conclave's CLE sessions offering professionalism and ethics credits to the participants, and Micah J. Fincher, an associate in the firm's Business & Commercial Litigation Practice Group in the New Orleans office, served as a volunteer at the Conclave.
