New Orleans

Mike Magner, Avery Pardee, and T.C. Wicker, attorneys on Jones Walker's corporate compliance and white collar defense team in the New Orleans office, represented Ziad Mousa in a two-week trial in the Eastern District of Louisiana. Mousa was charged with 70 criminal tax counts relating to the operation of Brother's Food Mart and accused of harboring undocumented immigrants working at more than 30 store locations. On September 22, 2022, the jury found Mr. Mousa not guilty of all tax-related charges and reached a deadlock on the harboring charge. The case was covered by NOLA.com and Law360 in the article "La. Store Chain Partners Escape Immigration and Tax Partners;" read more here.
