Forum 35 has announced that its Board of Directors has named Jones Walker as the organization's 2009 Corporate Member of the Year, and the firm will be honored at Forum 35's Viva il Vino event on October 22, 2009. The firm has been recognized for being actively engaged in supporting several of Forum 35's initiatives within the Baton Rouge community.

Earlier this year, staff and attorneys volunteered in Forum 35's Public Education Project, with helping to complete major renovations at East Baton Rouge Acceleration Academy. To further assist with the project, Jones Walker's Baton Rouge office also held its own fundraiser, donating the proceeds to the Academy for art and school supplies. Jones Walker was a sponsor of Forum 35's 6th Annual Art Melt, dedicating volunteer and planning support for the event as well as contributing in the form of a donation. Additionally, several employees are involved in many of Forum 35's other standing projects throughout the Baton Rouge metropolitan area.
