Jones Walker's Intellectual Property team, together with the Louisiana Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research ("EPSCoR"), hosted an industry workshop on March 27, 2014. The workshop was designed to engage representatives from academia and industry in networking and discussion about commercialization. Industry stakeholders, patent attorneys, venture capitalists, state economic development representatives and researchers from the Louisiana Alliance for Simulation-Guided Materials Applications ("LA-SiGMA") team discussed ideas for collaboration in the areas of risk, marketing, capital, ownership, patents and more.
