Jay Adams, Bill Backstrom, Andre Burvant, John Fletcher, Matt Mantle, and Alysse McLoughlin, partners on the state and local tax team, hosted and virtually presented their annual seminar for in-house counsel and tax professionals on October 6, 2021. The group discussed legislative and administrative updates in Louisiana and Mississippi. The presentation also included a roundtable discussion with key state tax administrators including Kimberly Lewis, Secretary, Louisiana Department of Revenue; Karey Barton, Associate Deputy Comptroller for Tax, Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts; Chris Graham, Commissioner, Mississippi Department of Revenue; and Mary Martin Mitchell, Acting Director, Tax Policy and Governmental Affairs Division, Alabama Department of Revenue.
