Ready, set, hut! The Jones Walker LLP State & Local Tax team is back with a day-long program on October 8, 2015, titled SALT Gameday: Key Plays in State & Local Tax. The team will tackle some big issues in the morning, including state and local tax procedure and the legislative developments in Louisiana and Mississippi.

We will then pull it all together with a "full contact drill" in the form of an appellate court oral argument. In the afternoon breakout sessions, attendees will "choose their teams," depending on whether you practice on sales/use tax or income/franchise tax. We'll end the game with some hot topics and have a post-game press conference where you can ask the coaches your questions.

Throughout the day, we will be sure to address all of the "highlight" issues that have been played over the course of the year, as well as scouting reports on the upcoming season. Featured speakers include Jones Walker attorneys: Jesse "Jay" R. Adams, III, William M. Backstrom, Jr., Andre B. Burvant, John F. Fletcher, Kathryn S. Friel, Matthew A. Mantle, Kimberly L. Robinson, and Justin Stone. 

Karey Barton, Texas Associate Deputy Comptroller for Tax will serve as the luncheon speaker.
