Edward P. Shohat, a member of Jones Walker's Corporate Compliance & White Collar Defense team, recently obtained a victory for his client, suspended Miami Lakes Mayor Michael Pizzi. Mr. Shohat represented Mr. Pizzi in the federal corruption trial that attracted much attention from the Florida media. The trial ended on Thursday, August 14, 2014, when a federal jury found Mr. Pizzi not guilty on all counts.
