April 27, Jones Walker received the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities' 2004 Chair's Award for Institutional Support at the annual Humanities awards ceremony and reception held at the Louisiana Governor's Mansion in Baton Rouge. LEH honors Louisianans who have made outstanding contributions to the study and understanding of the humanities. Jones Walker was recognized for its unprecedented support and assistance to the LEH, most notably during acquisition of Turners' Hall as LEH's permanent headquarters. Receiving the award on behalf of Jones Walker were partners Lewis McHenry, Charles Landry, Fred Chevalier, and Bill Backstrom.
