On November 11, Jones Walker was a sponsor of The Tulane University Family Business Center's Fifth Annual Family Business Gala held at the Ritz-Carlton New Orleans. John B. Elstrott, PhD, director, Tulane Family Business Center, John Kallenborn, president, Bank One, New Orleans Region, and Jones Walker partner, Bill Hines, chairman of Greater New Orleans Inc., presented welcoming remarks. Neill Corporation and Standard Mortgage Company were the Outstanding Family Business Enterprise Award recipients.

Founded in 1992, the Tulane University Family Business Center is sponsored by the Levy-Rosenblum Institute for Entrepreneurship. Membership is open to those involved in family business enterprise in which the majority ownership of the company is controlled by the family. During the year, there are five Family Business Forums, three full-day Family Business Forum Seminars, an Annual Family Business Gala, and the Annual Family Business Wealth Planning Seminar.
