Jones Walker sponsored the American Heart Association's 2009 New Orleans Go Red for Women Luncheon, which was held on February 5, 2009, at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside. The event was created to raise awareness about heart disease, which contributes to the deaths of more women than the next six causes of death combined, including all cancers. The half-day event also served as a fundraiser for heart disease research and education. Participants enjoyed a heart-healthy lunch, took part in health screenings, and attended educational seminars.
