Jones Walker is a sponsor of Leadership Louisiana's New Orleans session, which will take place July 16–17. William H. Hines, Jones Walker's Managing Partner and Chairman of the Council for a Better Louisiana, Leadership Louisiana's parent organization, will speak at the session's opening reception and will attend a special dinner on July 17 at the House of Blues. The nationally recognized Leadership Louisiana program strives to enhance the capacity of emerging or current leaders from across the state to effectively lead within their communities. Leadership Louisiana is designed to empower participants, inspire class members to inspire and motivate others, and enable participants to network and build lasting relationships with other community leaders. Many former participants are nominated to state boards and commissions. With more than 720 alumni, the program is in its 19th year. Associate Christopher J. Tyson is a member of the 2009 class.
