Jones Walker is a sponsor of New Orleans Museum of Art’s latest exhibit, Femme, femme, femme: Paintings of Women in French Society from Daumier to Picasso from the Museums of France, which will run from March 4 to June 3, 2007. Approximately 40 French museums have contributed paintings to fulfill a promise made to New Orleans two months after Hurricane Katrina by a delegation of French diplomats and art curators to support the city and NOMA. Nearly 100 works, including paintings by such artists as Renoir, Degas, Manet, and Picasso, are on display to celebrate the evolution of women’s roles and the emergence of the modern woman as seen through art.
