Jones Walker is sponsoring two teams in the Executive Spelling Bee put on by the Academic Distinction Fund of East Baton Rouge Parish.  The event, which will take place April 3rd and 4th, is a traditional spelling bee, but consists of teams of four, pairing two students from local public high schools or middle schools and two business executives.  The Executive Spelling Bee is divided into two separate divisions, one for middle school and one for high school contenders.  Division champions will receive $500 for their school. 

The Academic Distinction Fund works to raise and invest private funds to support innovative actions that lead to academic excellence for students in East Baton Rouge Parish Public Schools.  ADF promotes academic achievement for all students, encourages best practices in education, supports teachers in their work and professional growth, and fosters improved teaching and learning in public schools.
