On May 20, Jones Walker sponsored the Third Annual Family Business Wealth Planning Seminar presented by the Tulane University Family Business Center at the Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans.  The theme of the event was “Growing and Maintaining Family Assets.”  Speakers included presentations by regional and national experts on strategies for perpetuating the family business, pursuing the best investments, partnering with private equity, and dealing with compensation issues equitably.

Founded in 1992, the Tulane University Family Business Center is sponsored by the Levy-Rosenblum Institute for Entrepreneurship.  Membership is open to those involved in family business enterprise in which the majority ownership of the company is controlled by the family.  During the year, there are five Family Business Forums, three full-day Family Business Forum Seminars, an Annual Family Business Gala, and the Annual Family Business Wealth Planning Seminar.  Jones Walker is a corporate sponsor of the Tulane University Family Business Center.
