In conjunction with the Louisiana chapter of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), Jones Walker will be sponsoring an afternoon seminar on "The State of Real Estate in Louisiana" on August 25, 2009. A distinguished panel of six speakers from the development and banking industries will join Keynote Speaker Dr. Loren C. Scott, President of Loren C. Scott & Associates, in discussing the state of the Louisiana real estate markets as well as the challenges and opportunities for real estate development financing.
 
The four-hour seminar will begin at 1:00 p.m. with a presentation by Mr. Scott, followed by a panel presentation on the real estate market and its current challenges from real estate developers Robert W. Daigle, Stephen D. Keller, and Gerald E. Songy. After a brief break, a panel presentation from bankers Omer C. Davis, Robert M. Stuart, Jr., and David Thompson will discuss financing and their perception of the market. To conclude the seminar, Charles A. Landry of Jones Walker will moderate a in-depth question and answer session with the panel.
